Tariq  ‎JSASM  ‎AL-Rifai

Mr Al-Rifai is one of the founders of 5th Pillar Holdings Limited and also acts as CEO of the company. Mr Al-Rifai has been involved in the Islamic banking and finance sector for over 20 years and is viewed as a leading authority on Islamic investments, private equity and Sukuk. Mr Al-Rifai is the founder of Quorum Centre for Strategic Studies, a London-based think tank focused on financial and economic matters affecting the Middle East.  Prior to this, he held a senior management position at Kuwait Finance House in Kuwait as head of the group's Investor Relations Department. He also served as Global Director of Islamic Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (Dubai), Vice President of UIB Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm which managed a Shariah-compliant investment portfolio, and was Vice President and Manager of HSBC Bank’s Islamic Finance Program in New York.

Abdulaziz Burahma

Mr. Abdulaziz Burahma is one of the Founders and Director as well as the Deputy CEO of 5th Pillar Holdings Limited. Mr. Burahma is a seasoned Kuwaiti Hajj Hamla/Group operator with over 35 years experience. He also has the requisite relationships in KSA to lead the development of Hajj Services Value Chain in KSA. Previously, he worked at Kuwait Finance House for more than 23 years and retired as Director of Internal Audit. Mr Burahma founded in the year 2000 “Mashaer Company for Hajj and Umrah Services” where he was Vice Chairman of the board till 2009. He also established “Qibla Company for Tourism and Travel”. Mr Burahma was board member of “Kuwait Federation for Hajj Groups” from 2012-2017, and the “Kuwait Federation of Travel and Tourism Offices” from 2010 - 2013.

Syed Samiul Huq

Syed Samiul Huq is a seasoned business leader with over 15 years of experience across the telecom, energy, and financial sectors. He serves as the Managing Director of TSI Securities Limited, a leading stock brokerage firm in Bangladesh, and Bahon Limited, a licensed NTTN operator. Additionally, he leads Japan Solartech Bangladesh Ltd., a solar energy solutions company. Mr. Huq has been instrumental in shaping key ventures in financial services, including Trade Services International and ATN News, the first 24-hour news channel in Bangladesh. A graduate in Software Engineering from the University of Canberra and an alumnus of the Harvard Business School's GMP program, Mr. Huq has honed his strategic leadership skills globally. His expertise extends to Mergers & Acquisitions, having completed executive education at Harvard. With a dynamic career spanning multiple industries, he drives innovation and sustainable growth in every role he undertakes.
